The Ville de Vaudreuil-Dorion would like to inform residents that construction work for the redevelopment of Cité-des-Jeunes Boulevard (Route 340) will officially begin on Monday, April 20. These major works, anticipated for several years, are essential to prepare for the opening of the future hospital and to improve traffic flow in the area.
“This is it—we are finally launching these major works on Cité-des-Jeunes Boulevard, a project that is essential to prepare for the arrival of our future hospital. We understand that the construction will bring its share of daily challenges and require some adjustment, but it is a necessary step to provide safer access and much smoother traffic flow for our residents. In the end, the entire community will benefit,” said Mayor Paul Dumoulin.
Over the coming months, several phases of work will take place, including intersection reconfiguration, improved access, and modernization of the area to support the arrival of the hospital. The City will keep residents informed at each key stage of the project regarding its progress and anticipated impacts.
In order to carry out the work, significant traffic disruptions are expected.
The initial disruptions are as follows:
West of Highway 30
2 lanes per direction:
- 1 lane eastbound and 2 lanes westbound at Highway 30 (A-30)
- 1 lane at Exit 2
East of Highway 30
The City is aware of the impacts these works will have on daily travel and thanks residents for their cooperation and patience.

Residents are invited to regularly consult the City’s website, Facebook page, and to subscribe to Citizen Space alerts to follow the progress of the work and ongoing disruptions.
